Cassandra Edson was born in Windsor, Vermont and continues to live and practice law in this wonderful state. Cassandra attended UVM where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She graduated magna cum laude from Vermont Law School, where she served as the Vermont Editor for the Law Review.

After law school, Cassandra served as an Americorps*VISTA member at Vermont Tenants, Inc. in Burlington, VT. While there, she walked around and knocked on every apartment door in Burlington’s Old North End to speak with tenants and educate them about tenant protections in the law.

Cassandra has worked in a variety of legal positions practicing everything from family law to environmental law. Her varied life and work experience helps her be able to relate to all kinds of people. She spent 7 years working as a counselor with abused teenagers, 10 years as a state investigator, and 14 years as an attorney. Now she puts those investigation and counseling skills to work to enhance and improve her service to her legal clients.

In 2020, Cassandra received a fellowship to be trained specifically in Consumer Protection law. After being trained by some of the nation’s premier attorneys on foreclosures, loan modifications, and defense against debt collection, Cassandra is ready to battle the debt collectors for you.

Cassandra maintains membership in the National Association of Consumer Advocates (NACA) and the Vermont Bar Association. She is admitted to all Vermont state courts and the U.S. District Court of Vermont.

Cassandra represents clients coping with financial disputes and lawsuits about their mortgages, credit reporting, student loans, and all kinds of credit card and other debt collection issues, as well as lawsuits against the debt collectors for their wrongful actions during the debt collection.
